Clockwerk

By Jason Harper

Published on June 19, 2008

The longtime retro jam master at the recently closed Jilly's, Brian "Clockwerk" Scott, moved to Chicago in February to dive into the Windy City's bigger, more diverse and more electronic-friendly DJ scene. After all, Scott may have gotten his local following making women dance to new wave and Michael Jackson records, but his preferred style keeps a little of that retro and blends in reggae, electronic and house. A typical weekend gig in Chi-Town finds Clockwerk spinning until five in the morning. "You really have to pace yourself," he explains. Take that advice and wear sensible shoes when Clock returns to KC this weekend with a 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. set on Friday and an early, done-by-midnight patio set on Saturday, both at Tower Tavern.
