Skillet Licker Cafe

501 North 6th St.
Kansas City, Kan., KS 66101
913-549-0132
This tiny, family-run diner in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, is already kind of famous for its tiny, freshly fried, "hot lil’ doughnuts." These bite-sized puffs of fried dough come dusted with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar or plain with a little plastic cup of pink or chocolate frosting. After an order or two, you’ll still be hungry enough for one of owner Karen Allred’s bountiful breakfasts, a traditional diner lunch of a burger or fried tenderloins, or the daily special.
